Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a complex caseload of adults with mental health needs
  • Complete Care Act assessments, risk assessments, and support planning
  • Lead on safeguarding investigations and Mental Capacity Assessments
  • Work closely with NHS, housing, voluntary sector, and other professionals
  • Support service users under the Care Programme Approach (CPA)
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior staff and social workers
  • Prepare court reports, attend tribunals, and contribute to legal proceedings
  • Ensure adherence to Mental Health Act, Care Act, and relevant legislation

Key Skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker (SWE registered)
  • Minimum of 2+ years post-qualifying experience in mental health services
  • Knowledge of Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health Act
  • Experience working with individuals under CPA & S117 aftercare
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in safeguarding adults and multi-agency working
