Summary: The Community Investment Coordinator will support the Communities and Sustainability Team's initiatives aimed at enhancing community investment activities. This role involves collaboration with local groups, charities, and organizations to foster long-term social impact. The position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders while managing various community projects. The coordinator will also assist in promoting community investment efforts through communication channels and social media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of Heathrow’s Responsible Schools programme by building relationships with local schools and planning volunteering activities.
- Manage and administer small donations through the Neighbouring Villages Fund for local community benefit.
- Track and monitor Heathrow Rangers activities and support colleague community days.
- Assist in planning events and local engagement for the Heathrow Community Trust partnership.
- Identify community investment projects by collaborating with stakeholders and local representatives.
- Work with internal and external communications teams to raise awareness of community investment initiatives.
- Promote community investment work on social media in collaboration with the social media team.
- Capture and record stakeholder feedback to enhance community investment activities.
- Provide administrative support to the Community and Charities Partnerships Manager as needed.
- Contribute to the Communities and Sustainability team with ad-hoc projects and events.
Key Skills:
- Graduate and/or post-graduate qualification.
- Experience in a community engagement role with knowledge of the community engagement landscape.
- Ability to capture and analyze information to measure the effectiveness of community engagement activities.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and a completer/finisher mindset.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiating, and influencing skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of various communication channels for effective community engagement.
