Summary: The Community Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Officer will serve as an ambassador for the charity, fostering relationships to enhance public presence and fundraising efforts. Key Responsibilities:
- Be the primary point of contact for new and existing supporters.
- Proactively seek opportunities to support and develop local fundraising initiatives.
- Develop and deliver a range of fundraising activities for various audiences.
- Act as an ambassador for the charity with local community groups and organisations.
- Work with the team to develop relationships with local businesses and corporate partners.
- Set targets and generate income.
- Recruit and support local fundraising volunteers.
- Maintain records of communication with funders and income generated.
- Keep up to date with fundraising trends, regulations, and news.
- Develop the charity’s public presence and brand through marketing materials.
- Manage digital content including social media and website.
- Support e-commerce and enterprise team initiatives.
- Represent the organisation at networking events and meetings.
- Support team members in delivering activities and developing new ideas.
- Uphold equal opportunities and safeguarding policies.
Key Skills:
- Sound education to A-level standard or equivalent.
- Experience in community fundraising and supporter care.
- Experience in developing marketing materials across various mediums.
- Adept in using social media channels and platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills.
- Proficient in IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Wix, and WordPress.
- Ability to identify needs and establish new systems and procedures.
- Full, clean UK driving license.
- Ability to engage with diverse individuals and maintain a positive attitude.
