Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of community events, projects, initiatives, and campaigns.
- Engage proactively with community leaders and local organizations to identify gaps in provision.
- Manage operational matters for the Community Inclusion Partnership and progress project work and initiatives.
- Work in the office at least two days a week and engage with the community.
- Support campaigns and events, including occasional evenings and weekends.

About the role: As a Community Development Officer, you will lead on the planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of events, projects, initiatives and campaigns. You will proactively engage with community leaders and build links with local organisations to identifying gaps of provision. You will lead on operational matters for the Community Inclusion Partnership progressing project work and initiatives. This role requires a presence in the office at least two days a week, and you will also be out in the community. You will be required to work occasional evenings and weekends supporting campaigns and events such as This Girl Can and Big Summer.
About you: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude to work, who can act as a role model within their local community. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, adaptability to change, and excellent time management and organisational skills. You will demonstrate the ability to develop creative and effective solutions to complex issues, work collaboratively or independently as required, and take initiative with confidence. You must be educated to A Level or have equivalent experience. You will have a full UK driving licence to be able to travel around the borough. This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
