Summary: The Communications Manager for IT Transformation will lead the development and execution of a digital communications strategy, focusing on enhancing user experience during the rollout of Digital Engineering Solutions and Services. This role involves managing stakeholder communications, ensuring consistent messaging, and driving engagement across digital transformation initiatives. The position requires strong expertise in corporate communications and IT change management, particularly in relation to Windows 11 and hardware end-of-life programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of a digital communications strategy, with a strong focus on change management.
- Develop and implement a structured communications plan for the Windows 11 rollout and hardware EOL programmes, ensuring clear messaging to stakeholders.
- Act as the primary liaison between the IT Programme, Senior Business Leaders, Business Support Champions, and users, managing communications across all levels.
- Oversee internal and external communication channels to ensure consistent and coherent messaging.
- Champion a cross-platform and programme approach to stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Drive the promotion, marketing, and distribution of communication materials, ensuring timely and effective reach.
- Organise and deliver training and education programmes for new products and services.
- Continuously engage with programme stakeholders to identify pain points and opportunities, providing feedback to ensure solutions are effectively implemented.
Key Skills:
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Web Content Management Systems, SharePoint, and collaboration tools such as Teams.
- Demonstrated experience managing social media communication strategies.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and service management products.
- Proven experience in technical writing, translating complex IT concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proven experience in corporate communications.
- Proven experience in IT change management or technology adoption programmes.
- In-depth understanding of digital, web, and social media communication practices.
- Prior experience with desktop transformation projects (e.g., Windows migration, major IT deployments).
- Strong stakeholder management skills, engaging with executives, Programme Managers, IT teams, and business users.
- Proven ability to plan, organise, and deliver complex communication initiatives.
