Summary: The Communications Lead role is a 6-month contract based in Belfast, focusing on supporting a Merger and Acquisition process and managing change communications. The position involves collaborating with a leading Defence and Aerospace company to align local communication needs with broader company strategies. The role requires hands-on experience in internal and external communications, particularly in a transformation context. Key Responsibilities:
- Establish Communications “set up” and outputs in Belfast, aligning local needs with the company's communications approach in the UK.
- Support the creation of interim and long-term internal communications tools and channels.
- Work with the project team to define and deliver key messaging and communications materials during the transition phase.
- Interact with the wider UK and global communications team, and the public affairs team, to manage consistent messaging to external audiences.
Key Skills:
- Experience in communications (internal, external, community relations).
- Experience of M&A communications environment, transformation, and change.
- Good understanding of Northern Ireland as an operating environment.
- Comms plan definition and execution.
- Strategic thinking.
- Ability to connect with different stakeholders across functions and divisions.
- Event management capability.
- Understanding of local UK media and ability to engage effectively with them.
- Understanding of community relations and ability to engage effectively with a wide range of neighbours.
- Understanding of internal communications channels and ability to effectively engage with colleagues from across the business.

You will be involved in:
