Summary: The Communications and Engagement Officer role at Birmingham City Council is a 6-month contract focused on enhancing internal communications and employee engagement within the People Service division. The position involves developing and delivering strategies to improve workforce engagement and organizational effectiveness. The successful candidate will work closely with the Engagement and Communications Lead to support the council's strategic outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and information within the Organisation Effectiveness Centre of Excellence team.
- Develop and deliver employee engagement and communication solutions.
- Support the operational delivery of the Engagement and Communications Strategy.
- Work to improve employee engagement and work satisfaction levels.
- Contribute to achieving key performance indicators for the Organisation Effectiveness & Talent department.
