Commissioning Lead

Summary: The Commissioning Lead is responsible for overseeing large project commissioning activities within the Oil & Gas industry, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience, including supervisory responsibilities, and involves supporting project schedules and quality audits. The position demands strong technical expertise in Integrated Control and Safety Systems and collaboration with EPC teams. Key Responsibilities:

• Support EPC PMT by reviewing critical documents and reports generated by the main subcontractor; attend workshops/review meetings when required.
• Analyse technical proposals and proposed deviations; assess exceptions and new technologies to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Support project schedule adherence to meet critical milestones (LLI procurement, engineered equipment procurement, ROS dates, etc.); develop and steward recovery plans where required.
• Verify accuracy of EPC contractor progress reports.
• Participate in quality audit activities; report findings accurately and provide mitigation plans where necessary.

Key Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences or Engineering
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in large project commissioning within the Oil & Gas industry, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role
• Knowledge of hook-up and commissioning delivery processes and project phases, including completions walkdowns and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews
• Experience in Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) for large EPC contracts with strong technical commissioning expertise
• Proficient in reading P&IDs, datasheets, general arrangement drawings, and procedures
• Experience with LNG industry vendors such as compressors, power generation, control systems, topsides, etc.
• Experience supporting operations start-up in large-scale operating organizations
