Summary: The role of Commissioning Engineer focuses on the commissioning of automation and robotic systems for a major industrial installation in Wolverhampton. Key Responsibilities:

Wolverhampton | Site-Based (No Hybrid / Remote Working)

We’re looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join a project team working on automation and robotic machinery for a major industrial installation.

This is a 6-month contract, Outside IR35, offering long hours and solid continuity for the right contractor. The role is fully site-based in Wolverhampton and will require regular on-site presence throughout the contract.

The Role

  • Commissioning of automated and robotic systems on-site
  • PLC commissioning and software development using Siemens TIA Portal
  • Fault finding, testing, and system optimisation during commissioning phases
  • Working closely with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams
  • Supporting site acceptance testing and handover
