Summary: The role of Commissioning Engineer in the water sector involves managing and executing commissioning activities for water treatment and wastewater systems over a 6-month contract. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and execute commissioning activities for water treatment and wastewater systems.
- Ensure all commissioning procedures align with project specifications and industry standards.
- Work closely with design, construction, and operations teams to ensure a seamless transition from installation to operational use.
- Conduct system performance tests, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary adjustments.
- Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning documentation, including test plans and reports.
- Ensure all health, safety, and environmental standards are met during commissioning activities.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in commissioning within the water industry (clean water, wastewater, or related sectors).
- Strong understanding of water treatment processes, mechanical and electrical systems, and control instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.
- Hands-on experience with SCADA and PLC systems is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Relevant engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering preferred).
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to site locations.
