Summary: The Commissioning Engineer role involves working with a large-scale European Engineering and Construction company at their Cheshire site for a duration of 4 months. Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and control of components before tests.
- Conduct cold tests on individual parts and sequences.
- Perform hot tests and optimize operating parameters of the flue gas treatment system.
- Follow up on the operation of the flue gas system during hot commissioning.
- Participate in the training of client operators.
- Ensure compliance with the LAB Commissioning schedule.
- Inform the commissioning manager of any events impacting the schedule.
- Fill out test sheets and procedures as required.
- Provide weekly written reports to the commissioning manager.
- Update commissioning documents including PID's, functional analysis feedback, operating manuals, and maintenance manuals.
- Report and check any modifications with the commissioning manager.
- Adhere to procedures for recording and treating all anomalies.
- Maintain a logbook during the first operation of the plant, documenting important events.
- Report any near misses or accidents to the commissioning manager.

Astute's Power team is partnering with a large-scale European Engineering and Construction company to recruit a Commissioning Engineers on 4 month for its Cheshire site.
The Commissioning Engineer role comes with a rate of £500 per day.
Key skills required for the Commissioning Engineer role
- Preparation, control of the components before tests,
- Cold tests on each individual part + sequence
- Hot tests and the optimization of operating parameters of the flue gas treatment.

- The respect of the LAB Commissioning schedule.
- The CE will have to inform the CM of any event able to impact on schedule.
- Test sheets (or equivalent) and procedure filling.
- Weekly written reports to the commissioning manager CM.( under demand)
- The updating of Commissioning documents: PID's; the detailed functional analysis feedback, the operating manual, the maintenance manual, the I/O and instrumentation lists, the alarm list…
- Any modifications must be reported and checked by the CM.
- The respect of procedures about recording and treatment of all anomalies.
- Providing of a log book during first operation of the plant. This book must be filled with all important events concerning the commissioning (problems, breakdowns of equipment, etc.).
- Report every near miss or accident to the CM
