Summary: The role of Commissioning Engineer involves preparing and implementing the project Commissioning Management Plan while supporting the construction-led Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) approach. The engineer will be responsible for reviewing commissioning systems, coordinating inspection plans, and managing records for successful client handover. Key Responsibilities:
- Review and upgrade commissioning systems, procedures, and standards to integrate with AWP and data-centric construction systems.
- Coordinate systemization, sub-systemisation, and completion of inspection test plans (ITPs) and field inspection checks (FICs) for commissioning stages.
- Manage record keeping ensuring successful handover to clients.
- Troubleshoot, develop tactical plans, and lead the design of new processes and tools.
- Communicate and coordinate commissioning activities with contractors and vendors on site.
- Lead and support teams with a participative and proactive approach.
- Ensure lessons learned are reviewed and applied to improve project outcomes.
Key Skills:
- University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with extensive experience in commissioning/completions and site/project management.
- Experience in materials handling and mineral sands processing is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency with Hexagon Smart Completions system.
- Strong commitment to health and safety with proven safety leadership.
- Experience in Constructability, Operability, and Maintainability workshops.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client engagement skills.
- Passion for continuous improvement and proactive learning.
