Summary: The Commercial Vehicle Technician role at Teqniq involves maintaining and repairing a fleet of vehicles and plant equipment within the public sector. The technician will ensure compliance with legal and safety standards while promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities include conducting MoT tests, diagnosing faults, and providing administrative support for the Transport Workshop. This position is a 3-month contract requiring 37 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of an efficient Transport Workshop Service through maintenance of the fleet.
- Conduct inspections, servicing, and repairs of vehicles and plant equipment.
- Perform MoT tests as a designated VOSA MoT Station Nominated Tester.
- Support compliance with operators’ license and relevant legislation.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support and Fleetwave IT operational assistance.
- Diagnose faults and prepare condition and maintenance reports.
- Manage public interactions regarding MoT tests and handle complaints.
- Conduct off-site inspections and repairs, providing roadside assistance as needed.
- Estimate repair costs and report to management prior to undertaking tasks.
- Safeguard legal documentation and manage payment processes for MoT tests.
