Summary: The role of Commercial Manager involves overseeing a significant Hydro Electric Power scheme in Scotland for a major Civils Contractor. Key Responsibilities:
- Submit and secure applications to maximise cash income
- Prepare or approve subcontractor payments to ensure compliance with terms
- Produce accurate and timely forecasts and monthly reports to demonstrate contract performance
- Prepare communications to ensure that timely and effective replies are sent
- Monitor commercial and contract performance to ensure prompt and focussed corrective action
- Systematically review and validate incoming information
- Ensure that local teams and workloads are balanced
- Mentor subordinate staff
- Lead regular commercial meetings internally or with client
Key Skills:
- Minimum of HNC in Quantity Surveying

Hi All! We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a major Civils Contractor who have secured a large Hydro Electric Power scheme in Scotland which includes Building, MEP and Civils works (new Road Construction). They are therefore looking for a Commercial Manager to work on this from their office in Swindon with some remote working also. Duties to include the below:
- Submit and secure applications to maximise cash income
- Prepare or approve subcontractor payments to ensure compliance with terms
- Produce accurate and timely forecasts and monthly reports to demonstrate contract performance
- Prepare communications to ensure that timely and effective replies are sent
- Monitor commercial and contract performance to ensure prompt and focussed corrective action

To be considered you will have a minimum of an HNC in Quantity Surveying and will be an experienced Commercial Manager who has headed up major infrastructure projects throughout your career.
In return a top day rate (to be discussed) is on offer along with this being Outside IR35 and comes with a 6 month contract.
