On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Commercial Manager - (INSIDE IR35) for a 4-month contract working on a hybrid basis and with an expectation of 3 days attendance in the Milton Keynes, Birmingham London, Waterloo offices. Travel to Milton Keynes will be required

The position provides day-to-day commercial management of Road Fleet's supplier portfolio, including invoicing, supplier performance monitoring, contract administration, forecasting and commercial governance. The role supports the effective management of contracts covering fleet management, maintenance, fuel, telematics, vehicle hire and EV charging services that are essential to maintaining a safe, compliant and operational fleet.
As a Commercial Manager - (INSIDE IR35), your main responsibilities will be:
- Monitor, manage and report on all commercial aspects of allocated contracts, flagging issues and proposing mitigation actions at the earliest opportunity to the business as required.
- Manage the production of applications for payment/invoices.
- Identify and advise on all commercial risk/claim events.
- Provide management information relating to suppliers and KPIs and support its analysis to promote informed decision making.
- Produce appropriate commercial correspondence and contractual notices for issue in accordance with contractual conditions.
- Undertake final account settlements and internal reconciliation as required on the relevant contracts.
- Support demonstration of efficiencies and continual improvement under the relevant contracts.
- Manage all pre- and post-contact procurement activities as appropriate.
