Responsibilities
- Portfolio Management: Manage and develop a dedicated portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
- Client Enquiries: Handle day-to-day client enquiries, quotations, mid-term adjustments, and renewals.
- Risk Sourcing & Negotiation: Source, negotiate, and arrange cover for standard, specialist, and hard-to-place risks.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong trust-based relationships with clients, insurers, and business contacts.
- Business Development: Identify key opportunities to grow existing accounts and bring new business into the brokerage.
- Compliance & Admin: Keep on top of all documentation, compliance standards, and accurate record-keeping.
Requirements
- Industry Experience: Proven experience in commercial insurance broking with a solid grasp of insurance products and market appetite.
- Proactive Mindset: Highly energetic, hungry to succeed, and comfortable taking full ownership of your tasks.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Curious and resourceful nature with a knack for tackling tricky risks and thinking outside the box.
- Strong Communication: Professional and personable approach with the confidence to pick up the phone and build trust.
- Technical Skills (Beneficial): Working knowledge of Acturis is preferred but not essential.
- Qualifications (Beneficial): CII qualifications, knowledge of UK insurance regulation, and experience with complex risks are a plus.
