COMMERCIAL FINANCE PARTNER(12 month maternity cover)THE ROLE:Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you will be working in the Commercial team which also consists of a Commercial Finance Manager and a Commercial Finance Assistant.The purpose of the role is to support the business by partnering with the BD s/MD/sCEO s of the different business units and providing financial insight to support financial performance and help drive business performance.You will be the commercial lead on a portfolio of clients across the partnership. This role is essential in helping the business manage its margin by reviewing performance across the agency.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:CommercialAssisting with commercial submissions for new client opportunitiesProvide thought leadership and guidance on pricing to agencyIdentify and suggest alternative pricing mechanisms to improve revenue growth opportunitiesRepresent the commercial team in meetings as requiredProvide ad-hoc support to Head of Commercial on special targeted projects across key functionsWork with client leads on resource forecasting and ensuring this is recorded in the Finance TrackersBuild a margin improvement plan for specific accounts and monitor progress against itRegular catch-ups with the account service teams to understand the latest scopes, resourcing, capacity planning and job progress on clientAssist client negotiations on your portfolio of clients and be the key contact for the client procurement departmentsEnsure client finance trackers are maintainedUpdate and maintain income forecasts with retainer fees, based on workloadTeam WorkWork with and advise members of the Billing and Management Accounts team as and when the situation arisesSupporting the account service team to help manage the effective running of the client finances by helping with reporting and analysis of the accountAd hoc tasks as requiredSKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Must be passionate and take pride in their work and be able to demonstrate excellent levels of ownership in order to effectively manage all finance trackers across their client portfolio.Ideal candidate is ACCA/CIMA qualified, but not vital to the role5 years+ Experience in Advertising/Similar industryYou should be able to thrive in a lively, dynamic and pressurised environment and have excellent workload management with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlinesMust be able to work using own initiative but also be committed to supporting the wider team whenever possible.Google Docs ability with experience using Pivot Tables, vlookups, etc.Intermediate Excel ability with experience using pivot tables, vlookupsOUR CULTURE:The VCCP Partnership has a unique culture, and we are looking for people who will make a positive contribution to this, therefore the candidate must have the following attributes:A collaborative natureAn entrepreneurial spiritTake pride in their workHave an honest approachBe un-precious and be able to recognise that a good idea can come from anywhereTake responsibilityVCCP DE&I StatementWe believe that DE&I is about creating a strong culture of inclusion within our agency, whereeveryone can thrive and be their authentic self.
