Summary: The Commercial Finance Manager role at a Business Services Group in Portsmouth involves overseeing the financial management of a key contract. The position requires collaboration with operational management teams and the preparation of various financial reports. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly management packs, management accounts, cash-flow submission, budgets, forecasts, quarterly statutory accounting and tax packs;
- Liaise with and support Operational Management teams to provide a high level of financial expertise;
- Use financial information to constructively challenge business activity to increase profits, improve efficiencies, and identify and minimize potential risks;
- Actively participate in business and contract reviews;
- Provide support in bidding activity, including coordinating, testing, and presenting bid financial information;
- Ensure business dashboards are current and relevant to the business and delivered in a timely fashion.
Key Skills:
- Full accountancy qualification;
- Previous experience in a similar position within a large corporate environment;
- Exceptional communication skills;
- Tenacity, pro-activity, and strong analytical capabilities;
- Experience accounting for long-term contracts is highly desirable.
