Summary: The Commercial Finance Manager role at a Business Services Group in Portsmouth involves overseeing the financial management of a key contract. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly management packs, management accounts, cash-flow submission, budgets, forecasts, quarterly statutory accounting and tax packs;
• Liaise with and support Operational Management teams to provide a high level of financial expertise;
• Use financial information to constructively challenge business activity to increase profits, improve efficiencies, and identify and minimize potential risks;
• Actively participate in business and contract reviews;
• Provide support in bidding activity, including coordinating, testing, and presenting bid financial information;
• Ensure business dashboards are current and relevant to the business and delivered in a timely fashion.

Key Skills:

• Full accountancy qualification;
• Previous experience in a similar position within a large corporate environment;
• Exceptional communication skills;
• Tenacity, pro-activity, and strong analytical capabilities;
• Experience accounting for long-term contracts is highly desirable.
