SF Recruitment are pleased to be partnering exclusively with a highly entrepreneurial and growing multi-site organisation who are looking to recruit a interim Commercial Finance Manager for a minimum of 6 months. This role is to start as soon as possible (it is essential you start within 1 month, ideally immediately). This is an exciting opportunity to join the organisation in a key role, reporting to the FD. With clear growth plans in place, the business will continue to go from strength to strength and this is a unique chance to be a part of the journey. About the role Acting as Head of Finance, reporting to the CFO/Head of Finance on their return, you will be given significant opportunity and exposure to be involved in a wide-ranging finance role. Responsibilities - Preparing accurate monthly management accounts for review - Preparing commentary and variance analysis of the monthly management packs - Completing balance sheet reconciliations - Maintaining a 13-week cashflow forecast - Maintaining the fixed assets including depreciation, additions, and disposals - Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns - Supporting with the preparation of the year end audit - Supporting in processing the monthly payroll accurately - Building and maintaining strong relationships with the operations teams to support with the day to day running of all sites - Checking the accuracy and approving invoices - Preparing and raising the monthly pay runs - Supporting the Finance Assistance with ad hoc queries such as bank reconciliations and invoice queries About you You will be a strong accountant with a 'hands on' approach to work. You will be comfortable operating at pace and bring energy and enthusiasm to the role. Desirable: - Qualified or in the final stages of becoming a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) - Strong prior experience in producing monthly management accounts - Experience of a year end and audit processes - A confident user of Excel and accountancy systems (Business Central) - Confident and able to pick up a new assignment quickly, happy picking up ad hoc tasks as required - Ambitious, flexible and with the passion for an SME company and being part of an inclusive team What's in it for you You'll benefit from a competitive salary of c. 60,000 p/a.
