Summary: The role of Commercial Finance Lead is a 9-12 month fixed-term contract with a financial services start-up in Central London, offering a salary of £100-120K pro-rata. The position requires a strategic mindset to enhance the finance infrastructure and support the company's growth plans. Ideal candidates will have a strong technical foundation and experience in commercial finance within a start-up environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering with senior leadership to provide a granular view of numbers and performance against budget
- Overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including audit and statutory reporting
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Assisting with fundraising, including overseeing financial due diligence work
- Implementing system improvements and process automations
Key Skills:
- ACA/ACCA qualified with 5+ years post-qualified experience
- Strong breadth of experience across finance, particularly in commercial/strategic finance
- Significant modelling experience
- Experience with capital raising is highly beneficial

I’ve partnered with an exciting Financial Services start-up who are looking to bring on a Commercial Finance Lead on a contract basis, with view to go perm if it aligns on both sides. This is a hugely exciting time to join the business, -with significant growth plans, they are needing someone with a highly strategic mindset to assisting in improving the existing finance infrastructure and support further scaling of the business. This would be suited to someone with a practice-background, with a strong technical foundation, who has since moved into a commercial/strategic role ideally in a similar start-up environment. You don’t need to have led a finance function in this instance, but having had exposure to it will be valuable.
Role:
- Partnering with senior leadership to provide a more granular view of the numbers and performance against budget
