You will drive improvements, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting the broader business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Review and enhance the current reporting structure to ensure relevance, clarity, and actionable insights.
- Streamline financial data to focus on key performance indicators and business-critical metrics.
- Pricing and Projects:
- Lead a pricing project in collaboration with external consultants, providing strategic oversight and actionable recommendations.
- Manage ad hoc projects such as international expansion initiatives (e.g., entry into overseas markets) and other business-critical analyses.
- Acquisition and Compliance:
- Address outstanding acquisition accounting matters, coordinating with investors and Deloitte to ensure compliance and alignment with financial standards.
- Strengthen financial controls, particularly around payments, Travel & expense policy, and other operational areas.
- Team Development and Support:
- Provide mentorship to junior members of the team, enhancing their skills and ensuring delivery of high-quality outputs.
- Offer strategic support to functional and commercial leads, addressing gaps and enabling more robust financial decision-making.
- Executive Collaboration:
- Partner with the CFO and CEO on strategic initiatives such as bonus and share plans for FY25.
- Present proposals and updates to the Remuneration Committee (Remco) and other senior stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
- Experience in working with private equity-backed organisations or during periods of significant organisational change.
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally as a Finance Director or similar, with exposure to commercial finance, FP&A, and operational improvements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management capabilities, with a track record of engaging effectively across all levels of an organisation.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategic oversight and operational detail.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering results under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with acquisition accounting and post-merger integration is highly desirable.
- Exceptional project management and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving initiatives to successful outcomes.
