Summary: The role of Commercial Finance Analyst involves providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making within a consumer business known for its strong market presence. This position reports to the Head of Commercial Finance and collaborates with various directors, initially offered as a 9-month maternity cover with potential for permanence. The ideal candidate will possess commercial finance experience and strong analytical skills, particularly in the consumer or retail sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and analysis of weekly flash trading and KPI reports for the Executive Management Team.
- Delivering best-in-class analysis, reporting, insight, and financial mentorship.
- Conducting detailed analysis and providing recommendations for commercial deals and business decisions.
- Delivering accurate financial planning, including budgeting and rolling forecasts.
- Responsible for margin and product analysis, providing insights into product category trends.
Key Skills:
- Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant, ideally a finalist.
- Extensive commercial finance analysis and business partnering experience.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and related data tools.
- Availability on 1 month or less notice.

They are an established yet growing SME business who are now a household name, boasting numerous high profile marketing campaigns over recent times. They are now looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Analyst on a permanent basis, reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance and with dotted lines into the Sales, Marketing and Commercial Directors. This will initially be a 9 month maternity contract, but with the distinct possibility of a permanent opportunity afterwards.
