Summary: The role of Commercial Finance Analyst involves supporting the Marketing & Sales team within a global organization on an interim basis. The analyst will leverage strong financial modeling skills to provide insights that optimize spending and evaluate the profitability of marketing investments. This position requires effective stakeholder management and the ability to deliver clear financial reporting to senior management and franchisees. The ideal candidate will possess a commercial mindset and experience in the FMCG, retail, manufacturing, or distribution industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing, maintaining, and reviewing financial models to support sales/marketing forecasting, pricing strategies, promotions, and new product initiatives.
- Delivering insights for the Marketing and Sales teams to optimize spend and evaluate the profitability of promotional deals and marketing investments.
- Providing clear financial reporting to the franchisee community and supporting senior management in trading decisions.
- Business partnering with Sales & Marketing, providing timely and reliable financial insight.
- Providing analysis to the marketing and sales teams to facilitate data-driven investment decisions.
- Managing ad-hoc projects.
Key Skills:
- Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (for complex modeling) and experience with ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
- Strong financial modeling skills.
- Business partnering experience with commercial and sales/marketing.
- Ability to analyse data and translate it into actionable business insights.
- Experience within FMCG, retail, manufacturing, or distribution industry is preferred.
- Strong commercial mindset, ability to challenge senior stakeholders, and high attention to detail.
