Summary: The Commercial Finance Analyst role is based in St Paul’s, London, and involves working closely with a small finance team to enhance business performance through commercial analysis and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse revenue, margins, and delivery costs across programmes
  • Provide insights on profitability drivers and performance trends
  • Support evaluation of new business opportunities
  • Maintain and improve reporting on sales and revenue
  • Deliver clear, actionable commentary to stakeholders
  • Support development of pricing models and commercial proposals
  • Perform programme-level cost allocations
  • Support variance analysis (Actual vs Budget/Forecast)
  • Streamline reporting and financial processes
  • Strengthen link between Finance and Commercial teams

Key Skills:

  • Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Confident communicator with a commercial mindset
  • Advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables)
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central
  • Power BI experience highly desirable
  • Part-qualified accountant with relevant commercial finance experience
  • Experience within a product-based business is preferred
  • Spanish (desirable) and Arabic (additional bonus)

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial & Performance Analysis
  • Analyse revenue, margins, and delivery costs across programmes
  • Provide insights on profitability drivers and performance trends
  • Support evaluation of new business opportunities
  • Management Reporting
  • Maintain and improve reporting on: Sales and revenue
  • Programme performance
  • Utilisation and delivery metrics
  • Deliver clear, actionable commentary to stakeholders
  • Budgeting & Pricing
  • Support development of pricing models and commercial proposals
  • Ensure appropriate margin assumptions and cost recovery
  • Partner with Commercial teams on deal structuring
  • Month-End & Financial Control
  • Perform programme-level cost allocations
  • Support variance analysis (Actual vs Budget/Forecast)
