Key Responsibilities:

  • Support NS&I's strategic and operational objectives as a Commercial Finance Analyst.
  • Act as a trusted business partner across a portfolio of clients, including HMRC's Help to Save and Childcare Hours programmes.
  • Deliver insightful financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial advice to stakeholders.
  • Engage regularly with HMRC and other government bodies to influence financial strategy.

Key Skills:

  • Full CCAB (or equivalent) accountancy qualification.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel and experience with planning/budgeting tools.
  • Proven experience in financial modelling, forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience in Financial Services and/or Public Sector (especially Central Government) is highly desirable.

Commercial Finance Analyst - 23-Month FTC

Location: Glasgow (with hybrid working - 2 days in office per week)

Salary: £45,000 - £48,800 + excellent Civil Service benefits

Offices: Your new company NS&I (National Savings and Investments) is the UK government's savings bank, best known for Premium Bonds and backed by HM Treasury. Alongside offering savings products to the public, NS&I also provides payment and banking services to other government departments. As part of a wider transformation, they are seeking a commercially-minded, qualified finance professional to join their Glasgow office on a 23-month fixed-term contract.

Your new role As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you'll play a key role in supporting NS&I's strategic and operational objectives. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you'll act as a trusted business partner across a portfolio of clients, including HMRC's Help to Save and Childcare Hours programmes. You'll deliver insightful financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial advice to both internal and external stakeholders.
