Summary: The Commercial Finance Advisor role involves supporting the Practice Management team to enhance the commercial finance function through strategic pricing and financial insights. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders to assist in pricing strategies and decision-making, ultimately driving profitable growth. The role is temporary, lasting six weeks with the potential for extension, starting on May 27th.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the pricing strategy.
  • Support with balancing price and volume to drive sustainable growth.
  • Help implement best practices from the legal and wider sectors.
  • Provide support in pricing decisions for projects, tenders, and client engagements.
  • Help manage Alternative Fee Arrangements (AFAs) and contribute to improving profitability.
  • Support with pricing analysis and collaborate with partners to enhance pricing and matter management.
  • Assist with the analysis of client and matter portfolios to optimize profitability.
  • Provide support in delivering insights on key clients and assist in business development efforts.
  • Support and collaborate with the Commercial Finance Advisor on daily tasks and deliverables.

Key Skills:

  • Strong commercial finance and pricing expertise, ideally in a law firm or related sector.
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to assist with strategic financial decisions and be proactive in a dynamic team.
  • Agility and the ability to support projects with effective time management.
  • CIMA/ACCA qualification is a plus, but not essential.
  • Experience with Power BI is preferred but not essential.
