Key Responsibilities:
- Drive actionable insight from large data sets, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve sales, margin, and operational efficiency.
- Provide robust data and analysis to support supplier negotiations and promotional planning.
- Develop, maintain, and present regular dashboards and reports for the Commercial Director, finance, airport partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Summarise key findings and recommendations to senior management to drive commercial action and business change.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of sales, margin, inventory, pricing, and promotional performance across all business lines.
- Perform market and competitor analysis, including using price and promotional benchmarks to inform commercial strategy and identify actionable insights.
- Model and interpret P&L data, run sensitivity analyses, pre- vs post- vs control analysis, and scenario outcomes to support decision-making.
- Work closely with commercial, finance, and airport partners to gather data, align on objectives, and ensure holistic business understanding.
- Support the finance team with dotted line reporting and data sharing as required.
- Identify and implement improvements to reporting, data visualization, and analytical processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in commercial analytics and data-driven retail management.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in commercial analysis within retail, travel retail, or a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Track record of driving actionable insights and commercial change through data analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with VBA coding preferred.
- Experience with Power BI and SAP is beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to manage and analyse large data sets, with some advanced analytical or statistical expertise.
- Degree in business, economics, statistics, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Job Purpose
Lagardre UK Travel Retail is seeking a highly analytical, commercially minded individual to join our team as a Commercial Analyst. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director with a dotted line into Finance, you will be at the heart of our data-driven decision-making, supporting our Duty Free, Food & Beverage, and Travel Essentials retail business. As a key enabler of commercial success, you will be responsible for turning complex data into clear insights, driving actionable change, and supporting the business with robust analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our commercial strategy, ensuring we stay ahead in a fast-paced and competitive travel retail environment.

Key Responsabilities
- Commercial Support and Actionable Insight: Drive actionable insight from large data sets, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve sales, margin, and operational efficiency. Provide robust data and analysis to support supplier negotiations and promotional planning.
- Reporting And Dashboard Creation Develop, maintain, and present regular dashboards and reports for the Commercial Director, finance, airport partners, and other key stakeholders. Summarise key findings and recommendations to senior management to drive commercial action and business change.
- Data Analyst And Insight Generation Conduct comprehensive analysis of sales, margin, inventory, pricing, and promotional performance across all business lines (Duty Free, Food & Beverage, Travel Essentials). Perform market and competitor analysis, including using price and promotional benchmarks to inform commercial strategy and identify actionable insights. Model and interpret P&L data, run sensitivity analyses, pre- vs post- vs control analysis, and scenario outcomes to support decision-making.
- Cross Functional Collaboration Work closely with commercial, finance, and airport partners to gather data, align on objectives, and ensure holistic business understanding. Support the finance team with dotted line reporting and data sharing as required.
- Continuous Imrpovement Identify and implement improvements to reporting, data visualization, and analytical processes. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in commercial analytics and data-driven retail management.
Experience Qualifications and Key Skills:
- Proven experience in commercial analysis within retail, travel retail, or a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Track record of driving actionable insights and commercial change through data analysis.
- Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Excel (mandatory); experience with VBA coding preferred. Experience with Power BI and SAP is beneficial but not essential. Ability to manage and analyse large data sets, with some advanced analytical or statistical expertise.
- Education Degree in business, economics, statistics, or a related field preferred.
