About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional to join Artifex Interior Systems as a Commercial Account Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
You'll be at the heart of our customer relationships, acting as the key financial and commercial link between our Programme Development Team and Customer stakeholders.
From constructing quotations to managing cost and pricing systems, you'll ensure programmes stay on track financially while meeting customer expectations.
You'll lead programme meetings, report on financial performance, and support new business acquisition through RFQ responses.
Working cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and programme teams, you'll champion a culture of managed change control.
If you thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing commercial environment and want to make a genuine impact on programme success, this role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to shape financial outcomes across our product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- You'll construct customer quotations in line with business standards, maintaining the Company's Cost & Price System for all post-nomination changes.
- As primary interface between customers and our Programme Development Team, you'll lead financial negotiations to define programme scope, balancing company metrics with customer pricing expectations.
- You'll report programme financial status to senior management, present at monthly reviews, and attend Phase Management Gateway Reviews.
- Supporting VA/VE initiatives and new business RFQs, you'll develop pricing estimates covering part price, tooling, and capex.
- You'll foster collaboration across commercial, programme, finance, and engineering functions, apply structured problem-solving to resolve cost gaps, and identify opportunities to improve costing and quotation processes—ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting throughout each programme's lifecycle.
About You
You'll bring substantial commercial, account management, or costing experience from the automotive industry, ideally within a regional or global organisation (JLR experience is a plus).
An engineering background would be advantageous, along with curiosity about new commercial methodologies and data tools.
You're comfortable working independently and collaboratively, with advanced Excel skills and strong communication abilities across all levels of customer and company interactions.
Flexibility is key—you'll adapt to changing priorities, travel as needed, and embrace evolving programme demands.
If you're a proactive, detail-oriented professional who enjoys building relationships while driving commercial results, we'd love to hear from you.
