Summary: The Collections Metadata Analyst (Library focus) role at Wellcome Collection involves managing data migration for library and collection management systems as part of a significant modernization initiative. Key Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, including systems suppliers.
- Ensure thorough cleaning and preparation of collections data for migration into new systems.
- Design, implement, test, and document data migration pathways.
- Optimize collections management workflows and reporting.
- Provide expert data skills to support ongoing development of collections management infrastructure.
- Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organization.
Key Skills:
- Experience in data cleansing, conversion, and migration projects.
- Experience with system administrative tasks, including running scripts and constructing SQL queries.
- Experience in collections management system configuration and workflow development.
- Solid understanding of library cataloguing systems and relevant metadata standards.
- Ability to manage competing requirements and prioritize effectively.
