Summary: The Collections Metadata Analyst (Library focus) role at Wellcome Collection involves managing data migration for library and collection management systems as part of a significant modernization initiative. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, including systems suppliers.
  • Ensure thorough cleaning and preparation of collections data for migration into new systems.
  • Design, implement, test, and document data migration pathways.
  • Optimize collections management workflows and reporting.
  • Provide expert data skills to support ongoing development of collections management infrastructure.
  • Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organization.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in data cleansing, conversion, and migration projects.
  • Experience with system administrative tasks, including running scripts and constructing SQL queries.
  • Experience in collections management system configuration and workflow development.
  • Solid understanding of library cataloguing systems and relevant metadata standards.
  • Ability to manage competing requirements and prioritize effectively.
  • Analytical approach to problem-solving with a focus on solutions and outcomes.

Salary (Rate): £43,504
