- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

- ROLE TITLE: COBOL Mainframe Programmer VI
- START / END: 08/25/25 to 06/30/2026, with a reasonable possibility of a multi-year extension. The state cannot post any job beyond the end of the current fiscal year (June 30, 2026, in this case). So, while many jobs at the state can run for multiple years, they are all capped at the start of the current fiscal year (and must be renewed each fiscal year).
- WORK ARRANGEMENT:
- 90% Remote from within Wisconsin.
- Must be able to come on-site as needed with sufficient notice.
- The candidate must be a current resident of Wisconsin. If not a current WI resident, the candidate must be relocated by the start date.
- CLIENT LOCATION: Madison, WI
Here is what I need to see (IMHO) to warrant qualifying a candidate deeply:
- COBOL, DB2, etc. 10+ years (JCL, DB2, CNTL-M, online/batch, etc.)
- Prior roles with DWD in the State Clients (ideally) or similar in other states
- Prior roles supporting Welfare Systems at the state level (like Child Care Child Welfare (CCCW) in WI)
- .NET Exposure (nice to have)
