Summary: The Coachbuilder role involves manufacturing parts for assembly on production lines for a key transportation client in Northern Ireland. The position requires hands-on skills in drilling, cutting, and assembling components to high-quality specifications. The contract is set to start on June 3rd and will last for 8 to 12 weeks, with potential for extension. Overtime is available on Fridays, and the role operates under an umbrella company arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication of complex parts and assemblies to support the manufacturing process.
- Reading and working from complex part and assembly drawings and schematics.
- Moving between several distinct operations while maintaining high-quality workmanship and overall efficiency.
- Fitting and assembly of metal, wood, and laminate components to vehicles according to specifications.
- Safe operation of plant, equipment, and hand tools associated with manufacturing and assembly.
- Compliance with the company’s Health and Safety procedures.
- Undertaking training or retraining associated with the post and training other colleagues.
Key Skills:
- Time served in a relevant discipline (e.g., Fitter, Mechanic, Plumber) with written confirmation.
- 4 years of chassis experience or relevant experience.
- Experience using a variety of hand, power, and air tools.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
