Summary: The CNC Turner role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines to produce high-precision components for a leading Formula 1 team. This position is based in Grove, Oxfordshire, and requires working on a weekend shift from Friday to Sunday. The contract is initially for three months, offering a unique opportunity to work in a high-performance engineering environment. Candidates must have proven experience in CNC turning and familiarity with multi-axis machining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines to produce complex, high-precision components
- Work on advanced multi-axis turn/mill platforms within a high-performance engineering environment
- Interpret engineering drawings and CAD data to manufacture components to tight tolerances
- Support continuous improvement in machining processes, tooling, and efficiency
- Ensure all components meet strict quality and inspection standards
- Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to meet demanding deadlines
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner (Programmer/Setter/Operator)
- Strong background in multi-axis turn/mill machining
- Experience with Mitsubishi controls (730UM / 730BM) and/or CELOS interface
- Ability to manufacture complex, tight-tolerance components
- Experience in motorsport, aerospace, or other high-precision industries is highly desirable
- Ability to perform in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
