Our client is seeking an experienced client-facing CMS Business Analyst for an outside IR35 contract. Umbraco experience is ideal, though strong backgrounds in similar .
NET-based CMS platforms will be considered. You will lead client workshops, shape requirements and translate business needs into clear, buildable CMS solutions.
Scope of services
- Plan and facilitate client workshops to discover goals, pain points and requirements
- Capture, analyse and document business and functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Provide CMS expertise on content modelling, page and component structures, editorial workflows and platform capabilities
- Produce technical specifications in collaboration with developers and solution architects
- Contribute BA expertise to Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning and prioritisation
- Manage client expectations, scope and change in a professional, outcome-focused way
- Deliver process maps, wireframes and supporting documentation as required
- Support UAT, release planning and post-launch optimisation
Essential skills and experience
- Proven track record as a contract Business Analyst in client-facing CMS or digital engagements
- Hands-on experience with Umbraco or a comparable .NET-based CMS (eg Sitecore, Optimizely/Episerver, Kentico Xperience)
- Strong workshop facilitation with senior and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent requirements gathering and documentation, including user stories and acceptance criteria
- Solid Agile/Scrum experience, using tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Clear, confident communicator, able to bridge business and technical teams
Desirable
- Umbraco specifically, including Umbraco Cloud or headless/Content Delivery API
- Understanding of .NET web development and integrations (APIs, CRM, DAM, eCommerce)
- Experience delivering CMS migrations, replatforming or upgrades
- Agency or consultancy background across multi-client web projects
- Knowledge of SEO, accessibility (WCAG) and content strategy
- BA or Agile certification (eg BCS, IIBA, PSPO/CSPO)
