Overview
We are working with a highly respected and long-established firm based in London that is looking to appoint an experienced Cloud Architect to play a key role in shaping and delivering its cloud strategy.
This is a senior, hands-on role offering the opportunity to design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud platforms that support business-critical systems across the organisation.
The Role
Cloud Architecture: Architecting AWS-based cloud platforms to support large-scale, data-intensive workloads.
Data Modernisation: Driving the cloud architecture for enterprise data modernisation and migration initiatives.
Scalability & Security: Defining patterns for scalability, resilience, security, and cost efficiency on AWS.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with data engineering, platform, and security teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Strategic & Hands-On: Balancing strategic direction with hands-on architectural problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- AWS Platform Design: Designing cloud-native architectures within AWS environments.
- Data Architecture: Supporting data lakes, analytics platforms, streaming, and distributed processing systems.
- Enterprise Delivery: Delivering large-scale data transformation programmes.
- Performance & Scale: Designing systems that handle volume, velocity, and variety of data.
Requirements
- Cloud Experience: Strong experience as a Cloud Architect or senior technical leader in AWS environments.
- Data Transformation: Proven track record delivering large-scale data transformation programmes.
- AWS Expertise: Deep understanding of AWS-native services used in modern data architectures.
- Scalable Systems: Experience designing high-volume, distributed data systems.
