Summary: The Cloud Security Engineer (AWS) role focuses on enhancing cybersecurity for a leading financial services client by designing and implementing secure cloud-based solutions. The position requires expertise in AWS, Node.js/NestJS, and REST API, with a strong emphasis on authentication mechanisms and account security. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and enhance modern cloud-based cybersecurity services
- Implement secure authentication mechanisms (MFA, Passkeys)
- Integrate with identity providers such as Auth0, Transmit Security, and Ping Identity
- Develop solutions to detect and prevent account takeover attempts
- Optimise the efficiency and resilience of cloud services
- Drive continuous improvement in technical standards, tools, and processes
Key Skills:
- Strong AWS cloud expertise (IAM, networking, ECS/EKS, Lambda)
- Strong Node.js/NestJS and REST API development experience
- Cloud security principles, including IAM, networking, and encryption
- Experience with web services and microservices-based architectures

Key Responsibilities
