Summary: The Cloud Security Architect will lead the security architecture and design for major projects, focusing on cloud security controls for AWS and Azure. The role requires extensive experience in evaluating and implementing security technologies and standards. The position involves a mix of on-site work in Coventry and is classified as inside IR35 for an initial duration of three to six months. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of security frameworks and risk analysis methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans security systems by evaluating security technologies; developing requirements for Firewalls, IPS/IDS, SIEM, DLP, Web security, Email security, VA/PT and related security devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards.
- Understanding of Access management solutions.
- Implements security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; directing equipment and software installation and calibration; preparing preventive and reactive measures; creating, transmitting, and maintaining keys; providing technical support; completing documentation.
- Delivering Security Architectures/Strategies as part of a broader Enterprise or IS/IT Architecture.
- Interpreting and applying appropriate Standards, Policies and Legislation, eg ISO27001, PCI DSS, COBIT, SOX, etc.
- Understanding of Threat and Risk analysis methodologies/techniques and the interpretation/application of their output in the definition of Security Architectures.
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable experience with cloud security controls (AWS and Azure).
- Experience in security technologies including Firewalls, IPS/IDS, SIEM, DLP, and Web security.
- Knowledge of public key infrastructures (PKIs) and certification authorities (CAs).
- Understanding of Access management solutions.
- Ability to implement security systems and provide technical support.
- Familiarity with security standards and legislation (ISO27001, PCI DSS, COBIT, SOX).
- Experience in Threat and Risk analysis methodologies.
