Summary: The Hybrid Cloud Product Owner at FDM is responsible for defining and delivering the vision for cloud infrastructure products within the public sector. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, managing product backlogs, and ensuring compliance with security standards. The position requires strong technical acumen and experience in agile product delivery. It is a 6-month contract with potential for extension, based in Solihull.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into a product backlog.
- Prioritise the product backlog based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to ensure competitiveness.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with hybrid cloud products.
- Maintain clear documentation related to product requirements, decisions, and releases.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of the hybrid cloud estate, including planning, deployment, and retirement.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and requirements.
- Oversee scheduling and deployment of software updates and patches.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all hybrid cloud devices.
- Resolve complex technical incidents and problems.
- Manage O365 licensing for compliance and cost-effectiveness.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hybrid cloud engineering or related field.
- At least 2 years in a product owner or product management role.
- In-depth knowledge of major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Ability to design and manage hybrid cloud environments.
- Skills in managing hybrid cloud-related projects.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Proficiency with container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Skills in managing data across hybrid environments.
- Ability to implement monitoring tools for performance and reliability.
