Summary: The role of Platform Engineer focuses on automating and accelerating application delivery through infrastructure as code within a Cloud and Infrastructure Platforms team. This position is a 6-month contract that requires expertise in Azure and Terraform, with a hybrid working arrangement. The engineer will be responsible for provisioning, managing, and supporting platform changes aligned with business goals. Strong collaboration and coaching skills are essential for success in this dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate provisioning, management, and decommissioning of application resources
- Develop and maintain developer self-service platforms
- Support and deliver platform change aligned to business goals
- Contribute to project planning and execution
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and provide coaching where needed
Key Skills:
- Deep knowledge of Azure, particularly with Terraform and the Cloud Adoption Framework
- Exposure to GCP or AWS beneficial
- Experience with automation tools, observability platforms, and source control systems
- Understanding of FinOps practices is advantageous

I am currently looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join a forward thinking Cloud and Infrastructure Platforms team on an initial 6 month contract. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment focused on automating and accelerating application delivery through infrastructure as code.
