Cloud Operations Engineer – Private Equity - London | Contract
A leading Private Equity firm is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to support and enhance their Azure environment, with a strong focus on cloud operations, automation, security and resilience.
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day administration and monitoring of Azure infrastructure, while also driving patching and vulnerability remediation, infrastructure automation and improvements across the Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environment.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Azure administration experience across compute, networking, storage and IAM
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills, with Terraform or Bicep experience desirable
- Experience with patch and vulnerability management across Azure-hosted workloads
- Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and alerting
- Understanding of network security concepts including NSGs, segmentation and private endpoints
- Hands-on Entra ID and Conditional Access experience
- Experience supporting and maintaining Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments
- Security-first mindset with an understanding of change management and operational processes
- Experience with cloud security tooling such as Wiz or GitHub Advanced Security is beneficial
- Private Equity or other regulated environment experience is a plus
