Cloud & Infrastructure IT Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure and systems issues.
• Support, maintain and enhance on-premise and cloud-based services.
• Perform root cause analysis and major incident resolution.
• Develop and maintain automation, operational tooling and reusable infrastructure components.
• Support infrastructure security, vulnerability remediation and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with Service Desk, Operations and Project teams on service improvements and new technology initiatives.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of infrastructure platforms, automation frameworks and service standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Terraform and/or Ansible.
• Microsoft Azure.
• Microsoft Intune/SCCM administration.
• Windows Server environments.
• Linux/UNIX administration.
• Exchange Online.
• Networking, storage and infrastructure technologies.
• Firewall, VPN, switching and routing technologies.
• Hypervisor and hyperconverged infrastructure platforms.
• Strong understanding of IT security best practice.
• Knowledge of platform engineering principles, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform-led automation, CI/CD pipelines, Observability and monitoring, Self-service enablement, Secure-by-design service patterns.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure environments.
