Summary: My client is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for a 6-month contract to provide expertise in Microsoft cloud-based infrastructure. The role requires onsite presence in Central London three days a week and involves supporting various Microsoft technologies, including Azure and M365. The contractor will serve as a subject matter expert and manage services such as Exchange Online and Intune app deployments. A strong background in virtual machines and VPNs is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Microsoft cloud-based infrastructure engineering expertise.
- Act as the subject matter expert for cloud-based infrastructure.
- Manage Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 services.
- Carry out Intune app deployments and AutoPilot OS build processes.
- Support virtual machines, particularly Azure Virtual Desktop and 365 Cloud PC.
- Work with VPNs, ideally GlobalProtect, and MS Firewall or Palo Alto.

The successful contractor will have a strong background of supporting cloud-based Microsoft technologies including Azure, M365, InTune and Exchange Online. You will act as the subject matter expert for cloud based infrastructure across the organisations infrastructure landscape.
A demonstrable background of supporting virtual machines, particularly Azure Virtual Desktop and 365 Cloud PC, is essential for this role. Responsibilities will include managing Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 services, including email, collaboration tools, and productivity apps. The contract will also involve carrying out Intune app deployments and AutoPilot OS build processes.
The successful contractor will have strong knowledge around VPNs and ideally GlobalProtect. Hands on experience of working with MS Firewall or Palo Alto is also required.
This role requires presence onsite in Central London 3 days a week.
