Summary: We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to join a growing Cloud Engineering team, focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure, Terraform, and ServiceNow, and will collaborate closely with various teams to deliver reliable cloud services. This role emphasizes automation and performance optimization for applications and databases. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud-based solutions for applications and databases in Microsoft Azure.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring consistency, compliance, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain automation workflows to streamline provisioning, monitoring, and incident resolution.
  • Integrate and manage ServiceNow workflows for cloud service requests, change management, and incident tracking.
  • Work with application owners to migrate and optimise workloads in the cloud, including database deployments (SQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, etc.).
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance tuning for applications and databases.
  • Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, and governance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Provide documentation, knowledge sharing, and training across teams.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as needed.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a focus on applications and databases.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, particularly:
    • App Services, AKS, Functions
    • Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, Managed Databases
    • Networking, security, monitoring, and cost management
  • Proficiency with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Hands-on experience integrating ServiceNow with cloud operations.
