Summary: The Azure Cloud Engineer role is focused on designing, implementing, and supporting Azure cloud infrastructure for an enterprise-scale business in Central London. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support Azure cloud infrastructure and services
- Define Cloud governance (policies, tagging strategies, etc)
- Automate deployments, monitoring, and management using Infrastructure-as-Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, or similar)
- Collaborate with DevOps, security, and development teams to ensure highly available, resilient, and secure solutions
- Optimise performance, cost, and scalability across cloud environments
- Troubleshoot complex issues and provide expert-level support for Azure-based workloads
Key Skills:
- Proven experience working with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, Networking, Security)
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
- Expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM)
- Solid understanding of cloud architecture, networking, identity, and security principles
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or equivalent) - bonus
- Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments - bonus

Their Cloud strategy is in its infancy and they’re looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer to join their Engineering team. You’ll need to be a self-starter, able to work on your own initiative, and thrive in an environment where you may not have all the answers immediately. The role will offer the Azure Cloud Engineer the opportunity to really make tangible contributions to the Cloud strategy and technical toolkit selection.
