Summary: Whitebridge is seeking a Cloud Engineer to facilitate the migration of applications and services to a new platform for a utilities client. The role requires expertise in cloud technologies, particularly Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure, and involves collaboration across teams to enhance cloud adoption. The position is hybrid, allowing for both remote and home-based work, and is umbrella-based. The successful candidate should be available to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support application and service migration to a new platform.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to aid cloud adoption.
- Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices, with a focus on Terraform.
- Build and harden Windows and RHEL Golden Images.
- Write software scripts in general-purpose programming languages or develop automation in configuration tools.
- Provide operational support and maintain strong analytical skills.
Key Skills:
- Understanding of Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure and Cloud Native Architectures.
- Cloud Certification in Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure (desirable).
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Terraform (desirable).
- Knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows and/or Linux) (desirable).
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of operational support procedures.
- Ability to write software scripts in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration.
- Experience with building and hardening Windows and RHEL Golden Images.
