Summary: As a Cloud Engineer, you will be integral to the Engineering Applications team, focusing on optimizing and enhancing AWS infrastructure while providing operational support. Your role includes establishing cloud engineering best practices, developing tools, and innovating cloud architecture. You will collaborate with engineering teams to address platform requirements and improve CI/CD operations. This position requires a strong technical background in AWS services and cloud deployment management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support for both on-premises and AWS-based platforms
- Design, implement, and improve monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting processes
- Develop and manage dashboards, alerts, and reporting tools for performance and health monitoring using services such as CloudWatch and New Relic
- Automate the deployment and management of cloud-based solutions within AWS
- Troubleshoot complex issues across AWS cloud environments
- Oversee and improve CI/CD pipeline operations across all development environments
- Collaborate with engineering teams to address platform requirements and resolve any related issues
- Build and manage scalable, high-performance cloud deployments on a global scale
- Maintain consistent communication with relevant stakeholders regarding platform performance and issues
Key Skills:
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and document technical issues
- In-depth experience with AWS infrastructure and services (EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, Lambda, DynamoDB, Elastic Beanstalk, etc.)
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Bamboo
- Solid understanding of web security principles and DevSecOps practices
- Experience with microservice architectures (serverless and containerized solutions)
