Summary: The Cloud Engineer - ELK SME role requires an experienced professional with a strong background in cloud engineering and specialized expertise in Elastic stacks. The position is based in Edinburgh or Glasgow and involves designing, maintaining, and managing Elastic clusters while ensuring performance optimization. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of UK residency and relevant security clearances. The role is hybrid and classified as inside IR35, with a daily rate of £700.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, and manage Elastic stacks (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Configure and maintain large Elastic clusters.
- Work with large data sets and implement elastic indexing best practices.
- Utilize visualization components and techniques in Elasticsearch.
- Manage performance and tuning of the Elasticsearch environment.
- Write data ingestion pipelines using Logstash and other big data tools.
Key Skills:
- 5 years of UK residency.
- Experience with Elastic stacks (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Proven experience in configuring and maintaining large Elastic clusters.
- Strong understanding of data visualization techniques in Elasticsearch.
