Summary: A leading organization is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to support and innovate its cloud platforms in Bristol. The role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable Azure-based solutions while enhancing security and performance. The position requires collaboration with various teams and providing 3rd line support for complex incidents. This is a 6-month hybrid role with monthly travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud solutions (primarily Azure-based).
  • Automate operational processes using infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Enhance security, availability, and performance of cloud services.
  • Develop, configure, and support Azure Networking solutions, including Virtual Networks (VNETs), Virtual WAN (VWAN), VPN Gateways, Azure Firewall, and Network Security Groups (NSGs).
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and security teams to deliver robust and secure cloud environments.
  • Provide 3rd line support and resolve complex incidents in the cloud space, including networking-related issues.
  • Stay up to date with emerging cloud and networking technologies and best practices.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Practical experience with Azure Networking technologies, including VNETs, VWAN, VPN Gateways, Azure Firewall, and traffic routing solutions.
  • Deep understanding of cloud networking architecture, security principles, DNS, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Experience with Terraform, PowerShell, and Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to design and support hybrid cloud/on-premises environments.
  • Proficiency in developing automation scripts and templates for infrastructure management.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

Salary (Rate): £550 daily
