Summary: The Cloud Engineer role focuses on leveraging automation and cloud technologies to enhance DevOps tooling, including the migration of applications to the cloud and the development of new cloud-based applications. The position requires building and supporting cloud platforms and infrastructure environments while utilizing a variety of CI/CD technologies. The role also involves working with a diverse technology stack and ensuring seamless delivery of infrastructure changes. This is a hybrid position based in Northampton, requiring two days a week on-site at the client location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work across continuous integration, development, build, and deployment using automation and cloud technologies.
• Migrate existing applications to the cloud and build new applications on the cloud.
• Build automation jobs for CI/CD development, build, and deployment of applications on the cloud.
• Support cloud platforms and complex multi-tiered infrastructure environments.
• Identify improvements and collaborate with multiple teams to implement solutions.
• Build and support test environments, resolving issues as they arise.
• Ensure seamless DevOps delivery of infrastructure changes from development to production.

Key Skills:

• Strong scripting and integration skills (e.g., Shell, Python, Chef, Perl).
• Experience in build engineering and automation of deployments.
• Proficiency with DevOps tooling (e.g., Bitbucket, Jenkins, Nexus, Sonarqube, JIRA, Stash, GIT, TeamCity, Nolio).
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., Open Shift, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS).
• Experience deploying and configuring JBOSS and Spring Boot.
• Strong Jenkins experience managing continuous integration.
