Summary: The Cloud DevSecOps QA Engineer will support the management of Atom5™ cloud software infrastructure, focusing on security practices and automation within Azure Cloud. This role involves overseeing deployments, monitoring, and improving security measures while collaborating with development teams on best practices for Continuous Integration and Deployment. The engineer will also participate in mentoring new team members and supporting compliance documentation related to QA and security. The position is a 12-month contract based in Wrexham with a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the business in managing the cloud infrastructure of Atom5™ cloud software.
  • Oversee, monitor, document and improve security practices implementation relating to Azure Cloud and network infrastructure.
  • Take initiative in automation activities of development and release processes, code and artefact management, and Continuous Integration and Deployment.
  • Support compliance and quality teams in documenting processes related to Atom5™ QA, infrastructure, and security setup and practices.
  • Operationally support Atom5™ platform on Azure cloud infrastructure: deployments, patching, monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, release management.
  • Define, import and validate Lilly Security Policies across Atom5 subscriptions.
  • Review and improve security within the Aparito network and infrastructure.
  • Lead on CAPA resolution related to infrastructure and security.
  • Work with development teams in establishing best practices with Continuous Integration and Automated Deployments.
  • Participate in the hiring process and mentor new team members in DevSecOps and QA practices.

Key Skills:

  • An understanding of the Linux user space.
  • Good knowledge of scripting using bash or Python and networking.
  • Experience with public cloud offerings from major cloud providers (Azure experience is a plus).
  • Passion for automated processes, with knowledge of at least one automation framework e.g. Terraform, Ansible.
  • A keen interest in new technologies.
  • Managing applications on Azure cloud.
  • Managing metrics, monitoring, alerting and logging systems; e.g. Sensu, Graphite, ELK, Prometheus, CloudWatch.
  • Understanding of containers and experience with Docker.
