Summary: The Cloud Developer role involves designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and applications using AWS services. This is a six-month contract with the possibility of extension, focusing on delivering high-performance cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AWS environments and infrastructure automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
- Produce well-documented, efficient, and secure code while adhering to industry best practices and engineering principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and contribute to system design and architecture decisions.
- Enhance CI/CD processes to streamline application deployments and support production releases across multiple regions.
- Play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and applications, leveraging best-in-class AWS services and automation tools.
Key Skills:
- Professional software engineering experience, with recent focus on AWS cloud environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS CloudFormation, ECS Containers, Lambda functions, and Application Load Balancers (ALBs) in a multi-region setup.
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools and practices, particularly using CHEF and Linux environments.
- Application architecture experience, with a solid understanding of cloud-native design patterns and secure coding principles.
- Familiarity with the Go programming language (experience with Java or similar languages also considered).
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs and understanding of SOLID principles and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Practical experience with engineering practices such as TDD, XP, and pair programming.
